ChangeEagleBot is the automated checker behind ChangeEagle. If you run a website and saw this user agent in your logs, this page explains why it visited and how to control it.
ChangeEagle lets people monitor specific web pages they care about — a product going back in stock, a price change, a document update, or a visible change on a page. ChangeEagleBot only requests the exact pages our users have asked us to watch. It does not crawl or spider your site, does not follow links, and does not harvest content for training or resale.
It identifies itself with this user agent:
ChangeEagleBot/0.1 (+https://changeeagle.com/bot)
Before fetching a page, ChangeEagleBot checks your robots.txt and honors Disallow rules addressed to ChangeEagleBot or to User-agent: *. Disallowed pages are not fetched.
Requests to the same site are spaced out and never run in parallel per domain, checks run on user-chosen schedules (minutes to days apart), and every request has strict timeout and size limits.
Add this to your robots.txt and ChangeEagleBot will stop fetching your pages:
User-agent: ChangeEagleBot Disallow: /
